About Me

I have been teaching for 17 years.  Originally form Long Island, New York, I moved to Potsdam to pursue my music degree at the Crane School of Music.  While at Crane I studied saxophone under Dr. James Stoltie.  I graduated from Crane with my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music Education.
In 1994 I started my teaching career at the St. Regis Mohawk School in Akwesasne, NY.  There I taught Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade General Music and 4th through 6th grade Band.  After teaching there for 13 years I accepted a music position at Lawrence Ave. Elementary.  In the music department I taught Pre-Kindergarten through 1st grade General Music, Special Education classes, Instrumental Lessons, 4th Grade Band and 4th Grade Orchestra.

This year I am teaching kindergarten as a long term substitute for Mrs. Saber.  While teaching I am attending SUNY Potsdam to complete my certification in Elementary Education - Birth through 2nd Grade.  I am also pursuing certification in grades 1st-6th.
I live in Potsdam with my 3 children and many pets.  I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and seeing musicals.
